Head Barista – Maset, Marylebone
Maset is located on the iconic Chiltern Street in Marylebone. Inspired by the French-Mediterranean, we’re set to become a must-visit destination when we open our doors on the 22nd of October.
We’re now seeking an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee program as we introduce breakfast and takeaway coffee service in November, following our dinner launch. You’ll be joining a dynamic team in a beautifully designed space featuring a ModBar setup.
As Head Barista, you will: be at the front of the guest coffee experience - leading service and ensuring every cup from your and your team is crafted to the highest possible standard
train, motivate, and mentor the barista team to deliver consistency and creativity in your absence
manage ordering and the equipment upkeep
create memorable guest experiences through professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality
About You:
The successful candidate will have proven experience as a senior barista, ideally within a speciality coffee environment
Strong knowledge of of coffee origins, brewing techniques, and latte art and Matcha
Strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for training and developing others
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Creative, guest-focused, and confident thriving in a fast-paced environment
About Us: Maset is the newest addition to our group, joining Donostia and Lurra, both well-established restaurants in Marylebone known for their quality and loyal following.
Donostia has received critical acclaim since its opening in 2012. We serve Basque inspired tapas and pintxo dishes using the best quality, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is highly established having been open for over 13 years, with many loyal and regular customers. Much pride is taken in the knowledge and sourcing behind the food and wine. We focus on quality.
Lurra is a Basque grill in Marylebone focusing on seasonal produce cooked over wood and charcoal. The restaurant is highly established having been open for ten years, with many loyal and regular guests. Lurra is a fine-casual restaurant with attentive, well-informed, friendly service. We take a lot of pride in the knowledge and sourcing behind our food and wine. As an independent we have flexibility in our offer; we have a daily specials board curated by our team of chefs and we introduce new wines regularly, some of which are imported directly and are exclusive to us.
