Account Executive – Full Time Account Management London

We have a great opportunity for someone to join our wholesale team in account management. Climpson & Sons has a wonderful group of customers and we are looking for someone to be the key point of contact and work with our customers to meet their needs and go on a coffee journey with them. This is a role for someone who is keen to jump in and get to know our customers through phone to phone and face to face interactions. You will be dynamic, thrive on a challenge, be adaptable and love to offer all round customer service through the good and the less good.

Key Task:

The role of the Account Executive is to be the first point of contact to our customer base. You hold the information about each individual customer and their needs.

The role of the Account Executive is to provide systematic and in depth care for Climpson & Sons wholesale customers in the greater London area, that upholds the standards of excellent customer relationships and builds on these relationships to strengthen the ties between supplier and customer.

The AE should provide a regular and well maintained calendar of contact with all allocated customers that includes but is not limited to; visits, events, training (on site and in the academy), onboarding support and technical support.

The AE will manage their portfolio of customers to provide an equal level of support to all customers and to ensure those customers thrive and ‘get the most’ out of their relationship with C&S.

The AE should act as a first port of call for their portfolio of wholesale customers and be able to answer or help triage support requests. Beyond this, the AE is expected to think creatively and proactively on ways to foster and grow new relationships and existing ones, to best support the customer and engage with them.

The goal is to work with our customers to get the best out of the relationship, promote quality coffee, sustainable business and partnership.

Key Day to Day Responsibilities:

First line of support for newly onboarded customers: week 1 check in, 3 month check in, on site training.
Keeping regular, casual contact with a set roster of customers using a systematic approach that means each customer is visiting at a minimum once per quarter.
Training; following up with on-site check-ins to check they are utilising newly learnt skills.
Liaise with the training team to keep up to date records and keep an eye on ‘problem’ customers.
Maintaining proper records of customers e.g what products they use, contact info etc. on Insightly.
Identify new business opportunities among existing customers. Focus on upselling with the current customer base e.g ancillaries, new coffees, guest filter spots.
Know the Climpsons product range inside and out
Key point of contact and communication for maintenance contract and supply contract reviews.
Assisting with the full technical calendar for roster of customers – services, filter changes, PVIs.
Build the wholesale database including increasing sign ups to wholesale newsletter and adding key contacts and relevant notes to Insightly.
Basic maintenance (water filters and small fixes such as seals) and support/call outs for all customers.
Being available to lead training in times of need, being comfortable leading core training at the academy and on site.
Liaising with training, sales and logistics regularly to discuss account quality, changes to orders, new accounts etc.
Attending installs – Hosting at least 1 Cupping Club per quarter
Skills & Qualifications

A passion for working with people
A minimum of two years working in a high-end speciality coffee environment
A minimum of two years in a management capacity
Enjoys travelling and meeting new people
Exceptional coffee preparation skills and coffee knowledge
You will be able to adapt to different environments and customers, and not be afraid to pick up the phone, problem solve and negotiate challenging situations.
An understanding of the ins and outs of running a cafe would be preferable.
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience with equipment and troubleshooting.
Experience in public speaking or training people.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading names within the coffee industry as we are seeking a Coffee Field Service Engineer to cover Leicester and the surrounding area. Salary up to c£33,000 per annum + including working 1 in 4 weekends + vehicle + pension + other benefits.

Requirement
A highly motivated, well presented individual with technical ability and an excellent understanding of equipment, coffee quality, quality standards and procedures. Ensure complete customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and providing attention to detail.

Mechanical experience and knowledge required along with a full and fairly clean UK driving license.

Position Description

Promote the company by responding to reactive and service call requests by working in professional, efficient and thorough manner for a broad range of clients ranging from high street independents to national brands and organisations.

Responsibilities:

Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks from fault finding to diagnosis, making sure all coffee equipment is left in a good working order.
All work carried out meets the correct equipment set up as per agreed specification providing consistent coffee quality to ensure first time fix and customer satisfaction.
Work proactively with the central call centre, by taking day to day instructions, keeping them updated, so waiting customers are kept informed.
Comply with all on-site arrival procedures, by making contact with a manager/supervisor on site to introduce yourself and seek permission to commence work on equipment.
Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, undertaking risk assessments to ensure that it is safe to work and bring any risks to the attention of the company management.
Complete all necessary on-line job sheets, time sheets and supporting documentation as required, ensuring it is reviewed and completed prior to leaving premises, to validate client satisfaction.
Keep in good working order all tools, equipment and vehicles supplied by the company, reporting any faults, breakages or equipment failures to your line manager daily.
Provide agreed spare parts stocks via hand held unit to ensure that parts are invoiced to the customer, deducted from stock and replenished to maintain your vehicle stock inventory.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Demonstrates strong problem solving skills with an electrical mechanical background

Coffee Production & Dispatch Assistant – Full Time Roastery London

The Production Assistant role is based at our roastery in Leyton and involves the packing and dispatching of coffee orders for wholesale and retail customers. Attention to detail and the ability to work as a friendly team member are a must.

This is an entry level role. The main duties are in assisting our production team to label, pack, stack and send our coffee.

Production roles are hands-on and the roastery can be an active and noisy environment. Assistance and safety training will be provided but it is important to note that these roles do involve periods of time standing, lifting and working independently on many tasks.

Job Description
• The key focus for all production staff is to ensure that all wholesale and retail orders are accurately fulfilled each day.
• This involves packing all of the roasted coffee from the previous day and ensuring that all wholesale orders are boxed and dispatched.
• This role will assist the team with all webshop orders and deliveries, liaising with the Logistics Desk as required.
• Assisting the production team unloading and organising incoming deliveries
• Production equipment maintenance, cleaning & stocktake
• Assisting the dispatch lead with managing the orders in and out.
• An important part of upholding quality standards will also involve assisting and partaking in in-house training.

Details:

The direct line of reporting is to the Production Manager

This is a full-time position with the production day starting at 8am and finishing “when the job is done”, usually around 4-5pm. This role is generally across monday to Saturday.

Batch Baby is an independent specialty coffee shop that opened in November 2021. Runner up for Best New Cafe in the global Sprudgie Awards the year we opened, listed on London Eater’s 15 Essential Coffee Shops in London, and winner of Brita’s 2023 Grounds of Innovation Award, we’re looking to hire a Head Barista for Jan 2024.

For the role of Head Barista, speciality coffee experience is necessary. This position has some flexibility of hours, and we will build the role around the strengths, interests and availability of the right candidate depending on experience and ability. We are looking for someone who wants to learn or take the next step within speciality coffee, is motivated, hard-working and social. Most important is that they work well within a team, are eager to teach and learn from colleagues, and value and contribute to the warm atmosphere of the cafe.

Batch Baby works with a vast selection of roasters from around the world, serving coffee from 7 – 10 different roasters each month, every month. Coffees are served either as espresso, batch brew, cold brew or hand brew and we have 5 – 9 different coffees available to drink in-store at any given time. This role would involve tasting and dialling in coffees across all brew methods and working with the team to ensure quality across the board. We also have a growing food menu that changes weekly, and regularly host various food/drink/industry events in our space, where all team members get involved where possible.
